Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer stated in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital at the time.

This incident is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
