Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A representative for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was reached following an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.

The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
